Instructions of Roughing End Mill

1. Before using the carbide roughing end mill, please measure the tool deflection. If the tool deflection accuracy exceeds 0.01mm, please correct it before cutting.

2. The shorter the carbide  extends out of the collet, the better. If the tool extends out longer, reduce the speed, feed speed or cutting amount.

3. In case of abnormal vibration or sound during cutting, please reduce the speed and cutting amount until the situation is improved.

4. Spray type and air jet type are preferred for steel cooling, which can improve the use effect of carbide roughing end mill.

5. Note: Not suitable for low speed machines such as rotary table and electric hand drill.

Advantages

BWIN Precision Tools Co., Ltd. was established in 2014, specializing in the technical development and product production of cemented carbide tools, and introduced high-precision tool grinding centers in Switzerland and Germany. Production of milling cutters and metal processing with solid carbide tools, and can undertake the design and manufacture of non-standard tools. Our company selects the brand "Kena", "Sumitomo" and domestic cemented carbide bars as raw materials, uses Swiss precision measuring tools and tool detectors, and strictly controls the production process to ensure the quality of tools.

The company has a considerable technical force, strong production capacity, scientific management, and the purpose of "survival by quality, development by reputation", keep forging ahead to provide customers with better products.

Applications of Roughing End Mill

Commonly used for slotting, side milling, face milling, rough machining and semi-finishing of soft metal materials such as aluminum alloy and copper alloy

FAQ

Q1. The tool breaks when cutting in or pulling out the workpiece

Solution: The feed rate and cutting depth can be reduced, and the cutting edge length can be shortened to the minimum of the necessary length.

Q2. The tool is broken during normal machining

Resolvent:

(1) Reduce feed rate and cutting depth.

(2) Carry out passivation treatment on the tool.

(3) Replace the clamp or spring collet.

(4) The high number of cutting edges changes the low number of cutting edges to improve chip removal and prevent chip blocking.

(5) Change dry milling to wet milling (using cutting fluid) and use it with vortex tube gun to reduce tool temperature and avoid tool overheating.

(6) If the liquid supply direction of wet milling is from the front, it is changed to supply liquid from the oblique rear or the transverse top, the coolant flow should be sufficient.

Q3. The tool breaks when the feed direction changes

Resolvent:

(1) Use circular interpolation (NC machine tool), or temporarily stop (temporarily) feeding.

(2) Reduce (decrease) the feed rate before and after the direction change.

(3) Replace the clamp or spring collet.
